1/2 Cup butter, softened to room temperature
1 Cup sugar
1 Egg + 2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 Cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Cup nuts, chopped
1/2 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Cup marshmallows
1 Cup brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a medium bowl, cream together sugar and butter until creamy.
Add 1 egg and mix well.
Add two egg yokes (saving the egg whites for later use) and mix well.
In another bowl, add flour, salt, and baking powder; whisk together.
Add flour mixture to creamy mixture and mix well.
Spread evenly into a 9 x 13 pan.
Evenly sprinkle marshmallows, nuts, and chocolate chips on top of the mixture.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold in the brown sugar and spread evenly over the layers.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the meringue is golden brown and the cake is done.
Cool in pan before cutting into bars.
