Volcano Bread

8 oz package Cream Cheese, diced
8 oz package Cheddar Cheese, diced
4 green onions, diced
1/2 tsp. cumin seed
2 drops Tabasco

Sour dough bread round, hollowed out or Hawaiian bread round

Combine all ingredients and pour into hollowed out bread. Bake at 350 °F for 30 minutes. For extra color, red and yellow peppers can be sliced into rings and sprinkled over the top of the bread and cheese mixture the last 10 minutes of baking. You can also add chopped cilantro, tomatoes or 1 can Ortega chilies.

Serve hot with assorted crackers and raw vegetables.

When I was in Middle School I use to help my Grandmother make cookie canisters - every year at Christmas we would make an assortment of cookies, breads, candy and put them in a wrapped canister and give them as gifts. I still enjoy this idea, although haven't done it that much - at least not an assortment of goodies. I think this year will be the year I go back to that idea and see how everyone likes it.
